This April Fool’s Day, we’re bringing you a taste of a future that could be: one where Coal Creative has pursued our dreams of working with a brewery and designing our own beer! Is it drinkable? No. Is it brewed with real coal? Yes! See what happens when the Coal Crew’s creativity runs wild.

Coal Dust Stout is the Coal team’s flagship brew: a blend so dark, you’ll need a headlamp. Packed with authentic local Anthracite coal, everyone will know you’re a fan — on account of the black teeth and coughing that results after drinking.

about the beer:

The Coal Crew has always dreamed of one thing: to create a Coal brew. While we know nothing about making beer, we didn’t let that stop us. Like our name, we wanted to pay homage to our region with our first beer. And what better way to do that than go straight to the mines? Coal Dust Stout is a dark and mysterious brew that blends malted barley with a hint of real authentic coal. We know how to fuel your marketing. Now it’s time for us to fuel your night out.

Malted Barley, Hops, Yeast, All Natural Unfiltered Susquehanna River Water, Refined Coal Dust, The Flickering Light from a Headlamp, The First Five Lines of “Heigh-Ho” by the Seven Dwarves, and a Creative Agency’s Hopes and Dreams

Our dreams of making our own beer would not have been possible without our friends at Groove Brewing Co. When they heard our pitch to partner with them for this year’s April Fool’s Campaign, they helped us make things a bit more real by bottling a few cans for us.
