Coal Creative - Wow, What a month! December WOW! model: Travis Antoniello, Web Developer

Wow, What A Month! | December 2020

Say it with us…“Wow, what a month!” Decembers are always super busy here at Coal Creative, but we wanted to take the time to check in and give you a peek at what we’ve been doing!

To kick off the month of December, we’re proud to announce that our web team helped launch new websites for PA CareerLink of Luzerne County! PA CareerLink of Luzerne County is a one-stop service center for Pennsylvania residents looking for employment, training, and hiring needs. Our talented web team worked tirelessly to launch the websites for the Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton CareerLink offices (Pottsville, PA site coming soon), and we couldn’t be more proud of them for taking on such a big task.

“It was great working with a team as well-organized as PA CareerLink of Luzerne County,” says Travis, our web developer.

Matt, our Lead Web Developer & Lead Designer also chimed in, saying “our remote working skills were definitely put to the test!”

Earlier in the month, Coal Creative’s CEO Holly had the opportunity to lead a session for Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre! In case you aren’t familiar, Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre (JLWB) is a transformative personal and professional leadership development program aimed at high school juniors. The program is designed to provide training techniques that help develop leadership skills while fostering community awareness and civic responsibility. JLWB works with 17 private and public high schools, PSEA, and local colleges and universities.

“I had the opportunity to lead a session to talk about how to digitally market the students’ projects,” Holly shares. “We discussed the benefits of Facebook and Instagram, their target audiences, how to spread the word on these new platforms if they’ve never been on them before, and more.” What an awesome experience!

December was an especially busy month for Holly, as she appeared on WVIA’s Keystone Edition Business on December 10th. The segment was hosted by Kris Jones, serial entrepreneur and CEO of LSEO.com, and Holly appeared alongside fellow local business owners Frank Cawley (of Cawley Physical Therapy & Rehab) and Connor Scalleat (of Scalleat Hospitality Group). The segment focused on how these small businesses have been staying afloat during the pandemic, and how digital marketing could be a valuable resource many businesses can take advantage of. We also helped our friends over at studio BE launch their holiday video (check it out here!) Shoutout to ChrisLee, the musician behind the beautiful song heard in the video! studio BE, located in The Accelerator in Downtown Wilkes-Barre, offers mindfulness training programs to companies, non-profits, and individuals. The Coal team had the pleasure of taking part in a Mindfulness and Stress workshop a few months back, led by Dr. Christine Kiesinger. It’s safe to say that we all felt a lot better after our session with Christine, and we recommend checking out some of the incredible workshops studio BE has to offer.

Another one of our partners, Legacy in a Glass, has been dominating the wine & spirits industry this year with the release of their Moon Tree collection. Moon Tree is a range of high-quality but accessible wines designed to make it easy for consumers to know what exactly they’re drinking.

“It’s meant to change the way people shop for wine,” says Steve Pollack, Legacy’s National Sales Director. “It’s a beacon you can use so that, when you see the label, you always know exactly what’s in the bottle; a wine that’s easy to drink, is truly satisfying, and that leaves you wanting another sip.”

Moon Tree is now available for purchase at several retailers across NEPA, including Mountain Fresh Market in Hunlock Creek and select ShopRite locations. To view a full list of Moon Tree retailers, as well as how to purchase online, click here.

I guess you could say we’ve had quite the busy month here at Coal Creative! After a much-needed holiday break (we hope yours was relaxing as well), we look forward to heading into 2021 feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the new year. Until next time, Stay Coal!
