Why EVERYONE should attend NEPA Blogcon
Think of it like a networking mixer event, except that you’ll actually learn something!
“But what could I possibly learn about blogging?”
Blogging isn’t just one of your friends complaining about their relationship online. You might think of a blog as if it’s a diary or a personal journal, but it’s evolved to become much more than just that. Businesses around the world use blogging as a means of spreading information, acquiring new business and some even rely on it as their main source of income. Huffington Post? Blog. TMZ? Blog. Buzzfeed? Blog. What you’re reading right now and hopefully sharing later with your friends? Blog.
It’s a major piece of content marketing that your business may need to stay ahead of your competition and rank better in Search Engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.
NEPA Blogcon features local business owners and entrepreneurs (from NEPA, Lehigh Valley and beyond!) speaking about their experiences with blogging, social media, internet technology, digital communications, marketing and even branding.
… and the best part? It’s all for a good cause! Last year’s event benefited Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge in Dallas, PA.
What can you expect at this year’s NEPA Blogcon?
A new atmosphere! This is the first year that NEPA Blogcon has partnered with Misericordia University. The event will be held on October 11th at the Wells Fargo Amphitheater on Lake Street in Dallas, PA.
A different format! In previous years, participants would be assigned to a track based on a particular topic. This year, with a much larger space, each presentation will be 20-minutes with no tracks so you will have a chance to see it all!
There will also be a “tech bar” setup with social media, WordPress and other assistance for anyone who has any questions.
Want to learn more? Join the Kickoff Party on June 18th!
This is the 3rd year that River Grille is sponsoring the NEPA Blogcon Kickoff Party. Come enjoy some appetizers, meet the ladies behind NEPA Blogcon and learn what’s in store for this year’s Blogcon! You might even win a prize!
