Throughout 2017, we will be working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.

Alan Mclaughlin is our third #NEPACreative of 2017. Alan brings creativity to the area through art!

When asked what he uses to create his artwork, Alan replied, “I use just about anything and everything. Acrylics, pencil, pastel, watercolor… When I’m at the bar I use pencil, pen and colorful liquors like blue Curacao and sloe gin.”

Throughout 2016, Alan committed to creating something every single day. The video below highlights his 366 days (it was a leap year) of artwork!

More recently, Alan finished up two incredible paintings that are now displayed in Franklin’s on Public Square in Downtown Wilkes Barre.
