Wow, what a month! January has been a whirlwind here at Coal Creative, especially after coming back from a much-needed holiday break. In case you’re wondering what we’ve been up to these days, here’s the inside scoop!
We’ve been having a lot of fun working with Studio 16 South to record and produce several podcasts, including “Building A Community of Hope,” a podcast by Keystone Mission. “Keystone Mission is really doing something inspiring. The host/CEO Justin is inviting people who have been affected by homelessness to come on the show to give listeners a better understanding of how these folks are just ordinary people who’ve been down on their luck,” says Jordan, our Video Production Specialist.
In addition to Keystone Mission, we’ve also been lending a hand in recording and producing podcasts for Eleventh Element and Beyond Local. We encourage you to give them a listen if you’re looking for some new podcasts to check out!
This month, we teamed up with Legacy in a Glass and our photography partner, Darren Elias for a photoshoot at Fire and Ice on Toby Creek. Darren took photos of Steve, Rick, and Jennilyn for Legacy’s new website, as well as upcoming digital and print projects (check out one of the photos of Steve from the shoot below). We always love working with Legacy in a Glass and are so honored to have watched them grow from the early stages of the company to what they are now – a trusted voice in the wine and spirits industry!
To keep the month rolling, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the committee to elect Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz for a seat on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas. “It was a thrill, to say the least,” says Sam, our Creative Director. “In two short weeks, we worked closely to efficiently develop a brand that both looked modern and dynamic, while remaining true to Alexandra’s Luzerne County roots. We then used that brand to launch social media platforms, a website landing page and an announcement video that features various iconic locations in NEPA. Here at Coal Creative, we frequently have the opportunity to create really important content, this project was no exception and I’m really proud to be a part of a team that see’s a challenge like this and says ‘let’s do it.’”
We ALSO had the chance to present the videos we worked on at the NEPA Manufacturing Partnership Virtual Meeting this month! The NEPA Manufacturing Partnership is designed to help individuals who are interested in manufacturing find a career in NEPA. In our video series, we highlighted young workers, skilled workers, and experienced workers in the manufacturing field, and it was so interesting to hear their stories and why they love what they do. You can check out the videos here!
Internally, we celebrated THREE work anniversaries- Samantha and Travis being with Coal for two years, and Matt (our first official employee) being with us for a whopping FIVE years! We are so grateful to have the privilege of working alongside these incredibly talented individuals every day, and we thank them for their hard work and dedication. You guys rock!
It has certainly been a busy month here at Coal Creative, but we wouldn’t want it any other way. Until next time, Stay Coal!
