If you’re anything like our team, October is probably one of your favorite months! Here at Coal Creative, we’ve been keeping super busy recently, and this past month was no exception.
To kick off our exciting October, Coal Creative was happy to lend a hand to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC) Manufacturing Day by livestreaming the event! This year’s virtual event was free to all manufacturers and featured a number of speakers addressing different manufacturing best practices and technologies.
We also continued our partnership with Studio 16 South and produced a bunch of awesome podcasts this month, including Beyond Local, the National Coming Out Day stream presented by NEPA Rainbow Alliance, and the “Fall Into Reds with Moon Tree” virtual wine tasting hosted by Legacy in a Glass!
We checked in with the video team in the midst of their super busy schedule to chat about some of the shoots they worked on in October. “We had a great shoot in North Carolina for Quantum Rehab,” says Alex, our Production Manager. “18 hours of travel round trip, but it was so worth it. The family we filmed with was incredibly accommodating, and they treated us to some southern barbecue for lunch that put anything we have up north to shame. 10/10, would make the trip again.”
The video boys also traveled to Charlotte Valley High School in Davenport, New York for a shoot with IntelliGreen. “It was interesting to see how schools are adapting to the pandemic,” Alex says. “We’re grateful to be working with a team that’s on the frontlines of reforming public safety measures with their devices.” To close out the video team’s super busy month, they headed to the Hollywood Casino in Grantville, PA to film with the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association. “We’ve been enjoying the immersion in the world of horse racing throughout our collaborations with Ashley and her team,” Alex shares. “One of my favorite parts of the job is meeting interesting people from all of the different industries we work in.”
Fun Fact: Coal Creative had the honor of doing the promo videos, as well as the event night video for the Northeast Sight Services No Show Awards Dinner! Check out one of our favorites here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=344789953266991
In October, Coal Creative was proud to sponsor the livestream of the American Advertising Federation of Northeast Pennsylvania Annual District 2 Leadership Conference! The conference brings together all of the chapters in the District 2 region (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.) to meet and discuss ways to strengthen and boost the missions of each chapter. This year, our Creative Director, Sam, took part in the panel discussion “Video as a Means of Telling Your Club’s or Organization’s Story” alongside other creative individuals within our community. “As Creative Director, I collaborate with the various teams at Coal Creative,” Sam says. “From web development, social media marketing, to PR, graphic design and strategy — But the power of storytelling through video will always be my first love.”
We also helped one of our favorite collaborators, studio BE, launch their new platform! The Coal team has been working with the awesome individuals over at studio BE on some designs and videos for their new virtual subscription-based platform that features teachers from a variety of countries leading classes on things like yoga, mindfulness, and even flower arranging! studio BE was kind enough to guide our team through two virtual mindfulness, stress, and anchoring courses back in September, and I think we could all agree that we felt lighter and more grounded afterwards. If you’ve ever been interested in mindfulness and meditation, we highly recommend checking out studio BE.
Another fun fact: This month, we lent a hand to iDropped with iHalloween: a virtual trick or treating and costume contest! Visit https://www.facebook.com/events/762333194332062 for more information and contest rules.
Wow, what a month! We can’t wait to see what November has in store for our team. Until then, Stay Coal!
