Throughout 2017, we are working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.
Casey DiNuzzo is our 47th #NEPACreative of 2017. Casey brings creativity to the area in her approach to bettering relationships between people and their dogs.
Casey DiNuzzo takes the saying “dog is mans best friend,” very strongly. Back in 2012, she adopted her own problem with her four legged friend. She created her own approach to building a better relationship with her dog, and then thought that others would benefit from her work as well. Casey says that she comes up with a different approach for each dog and owner in a way that would be most successful for them. “Through the process they build trust and a stronger relationship,” Casey says. “It is creative because no two dogs or people are alike, but I get to help people communicate with a living being outside of the human race.” Casey is passionate about helping people with their dogs because she saw the huge difference it made when she has success with her own dog, and loves seeing the transformation in the dog/owner relationship with her help.
When asked what inspires her, Casey said that inspiration comes from her art background. “I’ve learned how to preserver when something gets challenging, come up with new ways to solve a problem, and keep working even when it feels like you’re not making progress,” she remarks. In her spare time, Casey likes running and doing yoga, volunteering for local rescue groups, and working on the occasional art project. We always ask our creatives what being creative means to them, Casey said that being creative means using your passion to solve problems and bring people (and dogs) together.
