Coal Creative Spent An Evening In CASAblanca

On Thursday, September 19th, CASA of Luzerne County held their annual “An Evening in Casablanca” event. Which is described as an event that brings together business leaders, politicians, volunteers, donors, and friends in support of a single mission — to provide a court appointed special advocate to each and every abused and neglected child in the Luzerne County foster care system.

As a sponsor of the event, we collaborated with the co-chairs of the sold out event on both marketing and event night materials that encompassed the full spectrum of our services here at Coal Creative.

Held at the historic airport in Forty Fort Pennsylvania, it was not difficult to create and sustain a massive interest in this important event — That is why it was a no-brainer to begin our efforts with a fun skit announcing the location of the event, featuring our very own Holly Pilcavage and Alex Manganella reprising their roles in what we feel is the next iconic comedy duo.

We were thrilled to film on location at the airport and rounded off the video capturing an effects shot on the roof of the parking garage off the square next to our office (Thanks to our intern Sami Amato for the behind the scenes shot). Can you spot where this shot was used in the final version?

We also designed the logo for the event, an invitation & save the date, we created a program book (over 70 pages!) various posters and informational print materials, and event night videos that were shown during the brief, yet important ceremony during the event.

We designed a “Save the date / Invitation”

While we were filming one of the event night videos, a young woman who had gone through the program stated “The two most important people in my life are my Mom, and Annie”, referring to Annie Ellis, her CASA advocate, who sat beside her and smiled.

The work this organization does is so important, that is why we were so honored to be a part of this special event, and are proud of the work the community did in coming together to raise funds for this very important cause.
