Throughout 2017, we are working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.
Brad Baesic is our 46th #NEPACreative of 2017. Brad brings creativity to the area with his overall creative mindset and support of creative endeavors.
Brad Baesic cannot be put into one creative folder. First, he has his hand in the curation of Heat night club in Wilkes-Barre. There, he programs and runs the intelligent lighting effects, visuals, sound, and also has been deejaying there for the past two years every Saturday night. He is currently also working collaboratively to bring two virtual reality projects to the area. Brad owns and works with unique printing equipment on a regular basis including sublimation, wide format, and embroidery. One of his proudest accomplishments is the installation of a disc golf course in Nesbitt Park.
From a young age, Brad’s parents fostered learning and creativity in him. He says that they were both excellent teachers by profession and unique. This lead to a love for the arts that he has carried into his adult years, making him an avid supporter of all things creative in our area. This includes his work with 3rd Fridays in Wilkes-Barre, a gallery destination at one of his own businesses, Great Escape Floatation, and his hosting of events at Bart and Urbys and Old Tyme Charlies.
Brad works tirelessly to support the arts because he gets a sense of satisfaction from helping and sharing with others. When asked what being creative means to him, Brad says that creativity is an extension of communication and a means of exploration and learning.
