Throughout 2017, we are working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.
Brittany Boote is our fifth #NEPACreative of 2017. Brittany brings creativity to the area through photography and community events!
When we asked Brittany what kind of photography she tends to focus on, she explained, “The photography that I tend to focus the most on is photojournalistic portraits, documenting people in their current environment and finding beauty in their movement, and presence.”
She also went on to express the following about being creative: “I always believed that as an artist you have a responsibility to the world to find ways to express emotions, not only for yourself, but for others. I believe art, and creativity provides a very necessary comfort for the world. To be able to find a way to navigate the positives, and the negatives, and the sometimes very terrifying but very incredible depths of the human condition is always fascinating and rewarding. I think that’s what being creative means to me, personally.”
