Throughout 2017, we are working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.

Christine Medley is our eighth #NEPACreative of 2017. Christine brings creativity to the area through letterpress printing!

Christine runs a community letterpress shop at The Workshop, is a freelance graphic designer, a printmaker, and even a design professor at Marywood University. When teaching others about her work, Christine mentioned that, “Along with a great hands-on creative experience, participants walk away with a real appreciation of this historical craft, the lasting technology of cast iron, lead and steel—now in the hands of artists and artisans.”

Christine’s love of printmaking, art, type, and a family history of being in the business has led her to all things letterpress. She went on to say, “I’m always learning, experimenting, collaborating and making something on a daily basis.”
