Last week, we began counting down to National Pro Wrestling Day on Saturday, February 4th with 30 days of streaming through Facebook Live with one of our clients, Chikara Pro, an independently owned and operated wrestling promotion. About a month ago, Chikara was looking for new ways to help promote the upcoming event and CoalCreative suggested live streaming to help spread the word. Our team has been working behind the scenes day in and day out by preparing scripts, creating backgrounds, and assuring each show is successfully streamed with no interruptions. The time that each stream goes live varies day to day and is based on Eastern Standard Time (EST), so be sure to “Like” Chikara Pro’s Facebook Page and keep an eye out for the upcoming live shows!
Each year, Chikara puts on this free event to help benefit a charity and prove that wrestling can change the world. This years charity of choice is The Superkick Foundation. We recently had the opportunity to bring the CEO, President, and Founder, Matt Harrigan, and Chief Communications Officer, Amanda Stockla, into the studio to help prepare some videos for the upcoming event as well as learn more about them and their organization!
The Superkick Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that operates out of Westchester County, NY, but serves the tri-state area. The charity serves homeless and low-income men, women, children, and veterans, with useful merchandise such as clothing, toys, or other useful materials while simultaneously supporting professional wrestlers through buying their promotional items at full price and assisting them with medical bills, insurance costs, or costs to help them make it by in a groundbreaking financial assistance program.
