Wow, what a month! The Coal team kept super busy all February long, and we’re so excited to share what we’ve been working on!
This month, we helped launch the new website for Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute courtesy of our always incredible web team. The O’Pake Institute for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship fosters the economic growth and development of entrepreneurial programs in and around Reading, Pennsylvania, as well as in higher education.
The O’Pake Institute came to us to develop a full website that would communicate the mission of the institute while being the go-to resource for any visitor or potential participant to learn more or take action.
“I’d say this is one of the nicest looking sites I’ve ever built,” says Matt, our Lead Web Developer & Lead Designer. “I’m so happy with the way it turned out!”
Matt and Travis (our awesome Web Developer) also had the privilege of working with Valleybrook RV in building their new website! Valleybrook RV is a family owned and operated business specializing in RV and commercial truck collision repairs, as well as custom paint jobs. “We were able to showcase their new location and some of their projects in Oxford, PA with a lot of great pictures that they sent us,” Travis says. So cool!
We’ve also continued our partnership with Studio 16 South to help record and produce several podcasts you HAVE to check out. A few of the podcasts we worked on in February include Pediatric Associates of Kingston and Eleventh Element, as well as “Building A Community of Hope,” a podcast by Keystone Mission. We have been having so much fun working on these podcasts and feel very lucky to be surrounded by some of the most inspiring and innovative minds in NEPA!
Holly, our wonderful CEO recently appeared on PA Live! to talk about the upcoming 2021 Virtual Young Professionals Conference. The Young Professionals Conference is designed to connect and engage the young professionals in the NEPA region through a series of breakout sessions led by various public figures and thought leaders. Holly is the current Chair of the Young Professionals Council and planned the conference alongside Vice Chair Anthony Melf and Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber team members Michaela Benczkowski and Ahmad Ali. This year, Coal Creative is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring breakout sessions at the event!
We were also thrilled to partner with our friends over at Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald for their new location announcement and ribbon cutting! We developed a plan to produce a commemorative video and also hold a socially distanced, virtual ribbon cutting ceremony at the new spot. We collaborated with the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce and RJG to get all of the pieces in place, as well as Park Multimedia to stream the event live on Facebook. Everything was going swimmingly until about a week out. That’s when we spotted bad storms in the forecast. We rescheduled. No problem.
But then it happened again! We had to postpone for snow a second time.
In both cases the team worked blazingly fast to revise creative assets, social media events and online promotional copy so that RJG’s vast network of friends and partners knew what was happening. The effort also required robust outreach with the local press whom we had invited and expected to show up. We consider ourselves so incredibly lucky to be able to work with partners like the RJG team!
Something we were super excited about was the opportunity to partner with Riggs Asset Management to create a video for their 30th anniversary of being in business! You can view the video here, as well as the content we created highlighting Riggs’ founder, Robert J. Graham and the legacy he built. Congratulations to the Riggs team for a great 30 years!
We also worked with Dress For Success Luzerne County and The Greater Wyoming Valley Women’s Network to fill all 31 slots of the Women In Power Campaign! In honor of both International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, the 31 Days of Women In Power Campaign will highlight women throughout the month of March.
By registering for the International Women’s Day Virtual Event or purchasing a T-shirt to support the campaign, all proceeds will be to Dress For Success Luzerne County to directly impact the lives of women who need our support. Stay tuned for a month-long celebration of empowering women!
In the spirit of supporting and uplifting others, the Boost Business Spread the Love Campaign received so many generous donations from our community members.
The Spread the Love Campaign was launched in an effort to support local restaurants throughout the month of February and give them a “boost.” For every $10 donation, Boost Business matched it and hand-delivered the valentines to various restaurants in our area! It truly warms our hearts to witness such love and generosity, especially given the challenging year so many of us have had. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped spread the love last month!
Wow, that was a mouthful! We can’t wait to catch up with you next month and share what else we’ve been working on. Until then, Stay Coal!
