I hope everyone had a great long weekend celebrating America’s Birthday! We have had some very busy days leading up to the holiday, and we’d love to share them with you.
After a lot of rainy days in NEPA, last Monday finally brightened up for the fourth annual Links Fore Success Golf Tournament. Our Director Holly and intern Sami spent the day taking photos to benefit Dress for Success Luzerne County. It was a great day of golf and fun! Here’s a shot of Holly and Sami on their way to the tournament!
On Tuesday, we had a video production shoot for the United Way of Wyoming Valley‘s annual campaign video. With an incredible cast of talented kids, our video boys went all over the Valley to film and share an important message.
Our video production team also traveled to Dowling Farms in Port Royal, Pennsylvania this week to meet with Seth Dowling, a horse breeder, trainer, and photographer. His story will be the first of multiple trainers to make its way into our second episode of the PHHA (Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association) Passion and Purpose Video series. So, stay tuned for that! While on the farm, our crew got a behind the scenes look at the care and effort that goes into raising and training horses for harness racing. They had a blast hearing Seth’s story, as well as meeting all of the beautiful horses (and don’t forget Seth’s dog, Brandy the Beagle!).
To add to all the fun, our creative Interns spent some time with Holly walking around downtown Wilkes-Barre and taking pictures for Fourth of July. We soaked up the sun and had a great time with sparklers. We love spending quality time with our Director!
And finally, our Coal team got to celebrate America’s Birthday in the best way, out on the water! Saturday, we filmed for Whitewater Challengers and they even let us go whitewater rafting! It was a great day for team building and enjoying nature.
Thanks for reading all about our adventures. It’s been a great start to July. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the month will hold!
Stay Coal,
Juliana
