It’s the Fear of Missing Out on Social Media
At the beginning of this video, I began saying something that hopefully made you want to continue watching and know more.
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been using a variation of this tip at the beginning of our own videos that we like to call a “hook” here at CoalCreative.
This is a practice that you can use in your own social media to catch your audience’s attention fairly easily.
The first thing to note is that you’ll find wording is key to creating a sense of urgency to produce quicker actions with your potential customers.
By simply stating “there’s only two hours left” or “only 10 spots available”, you begin to trigger the FOMO effect. You can also use images that say things like “flash sale” or “last chance” to produce this same effect.
So next time you’re planning a sale or promotion, try wording your content with a sense of urgency and see what kind of results you get.
